1. Alex Currie
Alex is a photographer and filmmaker from Buffalo, New York. His photos focus on telling a story within a single frame and evoking a strong emotional connection with whoever sees his work. Alex is a master of self-portraiture, his main medium being himself. He’s capable of conveying moods via coloring and expression unlike anyone I’ve ever seen.
2. Olivia Bee
Olivia is a 20-year-old photographer and director from Portland, Oregon who is now based in Brooklyn, New York. The beauty of everyday life and how the beauty of memories touches us intrigues her. Her portfolio includes professional portraiture, lifestyle and fashion. She enjoys the use of film photography and conveys a sort of 70’s feel to her photographs. They’re intimate, intriguing and warm.
3. Skye Spence
Skye is a Winnipeg street photographer that is well known in many circles for his popularity, charm, and charisma. Skye is a film and digital photographer with a large library of camera’s, including a Mamiya, a Leica, and a Sony. His photographs are interesting, simple, and full of contrast.
4. Lauren Withrow
Lauren was born in Texas and started taking photographs when she was 15.Growing up in a small southern town, she finds inspiration in the vast landscapes and dirt roads within the Texas countryside. Withrow’s focus is on cinematic portraiture and is currently developing her first film.
5. Wiissa
Vanessa and Wilson are a photography duo from Miami, Florida. They met when they were 14 and 15 years old, and have been together since. They shoot exclusively film, and love lots of color, sunshine and the seventies. When looking at their photos you’re transported back in time and you feel completely enamored.
6. Landon Cormack
Landon is an 18-year-old photographer based out of Winnipeg, Manitoba. He is a film photographer that loves simplicity, bright colors, and wonder. His portraits of friends are interesting, honest and quite simply endearing. Not having his own studio, he improvises at home with desk lamps and black bed sheets.
7. Alex Hainer
Alex is a ford model photographer that brings a sort of late 90’s vibe to her photographs. Alex is what we call an elusive photographer meaning we know very little about who she is. However, sadly, Alex at her young age has decided to delete all social media, move to India and work with elephants. Because of this she’s going to only pursue photography as a hobby. I hope she comes back some day so I can continue to be inspired by her.
8. Adam Kelly
Adam is yet another Winnipeg photographer, he recently gave up on university to become a full time fine art photographer and he’s wowing everyone in the photography community. His photos portray an interesting simplicity that is enticing, and a true display of the type of life many young photographers wish to have.
9. Ryan McKinnon
Ryan is a portrait photographer based out of Portland, Oregon. His photos are dark and cool. His portraits never fail to make his models look beautiful and sensual.
10. Sam Balaban
Sam is a photographer for a magazine called Fader which features social issues, RnB artists, and politics. He’s another ‘elusive photographer’ so we know very little about who he actually is. At his young age he has taken photos of many influential artists already, such as Mac Miller, ASAP Rocky, Common, Kendrick Lamar, and Kodak Black.
11. Lukasz Palka
Lukasz started out in Japan in 2008 and since then has used photography as a means to delve deeper into the Japanese way of life and explore the metropolis of Tokyo. Lukasz is driven by a curiosity about the urban expanse and its inhabitants. His photography style is mainly street.
12. Damon Baker
Damon is a British fashion photographer. Originally from a small town in England, at the age of 18 he escaped to New York City to find himself. Since he's worked in London, New York, Paris & Los Angeles he built strong relationships with the talents of his generation. He’s inspired by personality, attitudes and style.
13. Michelle Panting
Michelle started her website Full Winnipeg in 2013 predominantly as a way of offering travel advice. Since then, it grew into a showcase for Winnipeg culture. Through portraiture she shows off Winnipeg’s local talent and artisans. Her portraiture has a certain Wes Anderson vibe to it, filled with symmetry and interest, lots of matching colors and clutter.
14. Jesse Herzog
Jesse is a portrait photographer based out of Toronto, Ontario. His mainly editorial style is interesting. It takes strange situations and makes them into art, like his recent photo of a woman breaking an egg atop her head. He sold that photo for $15,000.00.
15. Trev Lee
Trev is an analog film photographer based out of Sacramento, California. He has been known to say ‘I’ve come to learn that beauty isn’t meant to be seen, it’s meant to be experienced, but with that being said, I try my hardest to capture the beauty I experience for others to view and enjoy.” His photos are alluring and beautiful, they almost make you feel like you can walk into them. One of his main shooting locations is Yosemite National Park, which he has mastered.
